Javelin, from Providence, Rhode Island is mainly a hip-hop artist, but ‘Soda Popinski‘ dives into chiptune territory. It’s very tinny and plastic to begin, but it quickly builds into an in-depth and very danceable chiptune, with song bangin’ beats. The only downside to this awesome, awesome song is the length. It’s short. :( Still, give it a listen! It’s a great tune and very catchy!

Found this track "crack crack crack" off of Robot records. Apparently this stuff is called skweee, which I have only barely heard about. Robot music. This cat Uday Napoleon been doing skweee parties in his hometown for quite a while, and I was wondering how many people would be actually dancing to it. Surprisingly enough, there isn't shit on the interwebz on Uday Napoleon except an interview.

Peace everyone. This is the latest mix in a series of things Ive worked on recently. I made this mix exclusively for Shadow Jugglers, on CITR FM Canada. This set aired last night and is now available for your consumption. It pretty much covers all my favorite genres in 60 minutes. Bmore Club, Fidget House, Bassline House, Ragga House, Electro, Dubstep, Hyper Dub, Rave, Drum&Bass, Ragga, Glitch/IDM, HipHop/Rap and Indie Rock, all in one set. I am extremely happy with the way this came out and highly representing the melting pot of styles I have come to enjoy over time. I hope you all enjoy and please feel free to share and blog... Respect!

So I found some interesting tracks here... some weird crossbreed somewhere between bollywood and Indian disco. I'm not sure what to think about it, but it makes me giggle a little bit. You decide.

Salma Agha & Bappi Lahiri - Jeena Bhi Kya Hai Jeena
Bappi Lahiri - Yaad Aa Raha Hai
Salma Agha - Come Closer
Bappi Lahiri - Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki

Here is "Bang," one of the newest cut from the 18 year old Baltimore native Rye Rye. For the past two years, Rye has slowly been generating buzz thanks to collaborations with blogger-approved DJ’s Diplo, Blaqstarr and The Count & Sinden, and even spent some time touring alongside with MIA.

Loosies 03/01/09

I know its been a while since Ive posted anything, so here are some Loosies to pop in the iPod.

I found a few LunyP tracks the other day that put a smile on my face. Homeboy has a evolved his style not from just bmore, but now dropping some Miami Bass and Baile Funk action.

Smooth Operator(LunyP Baile Funk Refix)
Return Of The Mack (LunyP Macking In Bmore Mix)
Scrub Da Ground (LunyP Miami Bass 2009 Mix)

I just got an email from Tyler of Something Wrong/NONEWYORK with his new remix. I was expecting a little heavier of bass, but nonetheless it still sounds dope.
