Who the fuck is Kid Legit?

...I don't know either, but it seems as if he popped into the blogosphere overnight and has made quite the impression. Over the past couple days, he has had a few of his songs in the top 20 most popular cuts on HypeM.

Kid Legit ( http://www.myspace.com/legitproductions ) is a 21 year old DJ/Producer from Montreal that broke out onto the nightlife scene about year ago with the launch of his clothing line, Brinada Clothing ( http://www.brinada.com ). He holds current residencies on Fridays at Blue Dog Motel (a bar owned by the Team Canada DJ's), and Thursdays Tokyo Bar ; and has spun along with the likes of Steve Aoki, LAZRtag, Cobra Krames, Hatchmatik, and Hot Pink Delorean.

and heres the track, along with a sweet rework of We are Your Friends, which ive seen an upshoot in new remixes of. Guess things go in cycles, eh?

Spank Rock - Bump (Kid Legit Remix)
Justice Vs Simian - We Are Your Friends (Kid Legit Remix)I

I would also highly recommend picking up his EP, which features those two tracks plus 4 more.

Cop it here

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Zero (MSTRKRFT remix)

So I found some interesting tracks here... some weird crossbreed somewhere between bollywood and Indian disco. I'm not sure what to think about it, but it makes me giggle a little bit. You decide.

Salma Agha & Bappi Lahiri - Jeena Bhi Kya Hai Jeena
Bappi Lahiri - Yaad Aa Raha Hai
Salma Agha - Come Closer

Here is "Bang," one of the newest cut from the 18 year old Baltimore native Rye Rye. For the past two years, Rye has slowly been generating buzz thanks to collaborations with blogger-approved DJ’s Diplo, Blaqstarr and The Count & Sinden, and even spent some time touring alongside with MIA.
